Neon Utopia Party

GEM was entrusted with the mission to design the ultimate desert party – and we were thrilled to commence the transformation of the Kan Zaman event space at the Ritz Carlton Al Wadi Desert.

 

We had a vision of a Neon Utopia, and we aimed to use neon colours to create a visually striking party environment. Welcoming a diverse corporate group of 900, spanning various ages and nationalities,  we really needed to appeal to everyone’s sense of fun! It was essential that this party provided a platform for these hard-working employees to truly unwind and enjoy the celebrations.  

As guests approached from the road, they could catch a glimpse of what was to come, with splashes of neon in the distance. As they walked up the pathway to the entrance of the party, their spirits were instantly lifted and excitement raised as they walked through our stunning and exuberant entrance way with the huge Neon Utopia in front of them.

GEM’s Utopia vision came to life through collaboration with our go to, top tier décor teams in the UAE, and a highly skilled Audio Visual Partner. The Stage and all Audio-Visual effects were the main highlights of the night. Our incredible stage design was the focal point, and looked stunning with continuous moving content across the dune shaped screens. An incredible laser show bounced between mirrored pillars across the desert and over the dancefloor and could be seen throughout the event space.

We implemented captivating lighting effects throughout the venue and amongst the trees. The seating was planned in a very laid back, chilled and diverse manner to offer all options to the guests with varying styles and colours and we adorned the tables with fun centerpieces, enhancing the overall ambiance.

Neon themed Teepee tents were dotted around the venue, where guests could join in the Neon fun and transform their own outfits with neon and UV hair and makeup along with body marbling for the more adventurous.

Entertainment from our very popular Neon Bear, our Utopia freestylers and our incredible DJ's topped of the celebrations! What a night!

GEM worked with the Ritz Carlton team to design a 5 star festival style menu, served from food-trucks and other themed food stations and bars, and ensured that guests, at all times, had access to free flowing drinks throughout the evening.
