Sunsets Together - MAF Brokers Awards 2024

Majid Al Futaim wanted their 2024 Brokers Awards to exude luxury and intimacy, with an emphasis on delivering a truly unique event experience. Their aspiration was to provide guests with an evening unlike any other awards ceremony they would have attended this season.

GEM created a dreamy event, featuring tailor-made, creative entertainment and content which perfectly reflected the clients desires for anextraordinary and distinctive event. The event’s title was Sunsets Together – and GEM’s creative team immediately began working on a radiant moodboard filled with stunning reds, oranges and yellows. 

Almost immediately we knew that Dream would be the perfect place for an original awards evening, allowing us to move away from the standard Stage and LED screens. Using Dream as our venue, allowed us to lean towards a Sunset Dreams vision, where "Dream" encapsulates an ethereal celebration and inspires new dreams for the future.

Guests arrived outside the Garden of Dreams, and were greeted by our hostesses in visions of orange.

They walked through our stunning entranceway into the Garden which was decorated with a variety of sunset décor items, and photo opportunities made of acrylic and woods.

The drinks reception took place with natural sunset views, and the cloudy day certainly didn’t dampen the mood. The space buzzed with energy as enthusiastic attendees enjoyed the drinks and immersed themselves in the ambiance, complemented by the performances of our trio of musicians, the interactive Mirror photobooth, and the magic of our wonderful illusionist.

When doors opened to Dream itself, guests could not believe their eyes. Our captivating sunset projection mapping, skillfully crafted by our talented content creation team, adorned the back wall; each of the tables were decorated with our bespoke vibrant sunset table centers – further enhancing the already uniquely stunning venue.

Guests delighted in the performance of our well know piano vocalist Ryan Gibb, whose uplifting songs filled the air, illuminated by candlelight. Amidst cheerful conversations, attendees tucked into their delicious starters while soaking up the atmosphere.

As the pianist’s set came to an end, the VOG welcomed guests and lights dimmed. Moments later our breathtaking dancers emerged, weaving gracefully among the tables. Dressed in meticulously designed costumes, tailored to our sunset theme, the dancers performed a stunning piece of dance, complemented by custom projection mapping, and our magnificent Aerialist. The resounding applause that followed the opening show was immense as MC Layne Redman stepped onto the stage.

The Awards ceremony, expertly coordinated by our stage management team, proceeded seamlessly with the presentation adapted to project onto Dream's textured back wall. An animated audience enthusiastically listened to the nominations and cheered on the winners, creating an electric atmosphere. The climax of the event was marked by the return of our Sunset dancers, who delivered yet another spectacular performance with high energy and climatic finish. 

Following the awards, Dream served up delectable main courses and desserts, accompanied by the vibrantset of a DJ and Saxophonist duo. Attendees spent the remainder of the evening networking and socializing, thoroughly enjoying the experience provided by MAF at the Brokers Awards 2024. It was a delight to witness the guests' happiness and the client's satisfaction as they relished the success of the evening.
