World CEO Forum
It’s been a year in the making, and the 22nd and 23rd of October saw the World CEO Forum take place aboard the prestigious QE2 in Dubai. Under the umbrella “Where the world’s most influential business leaders unite”, the World CEO Forum saw a gathering of the most influential business leaders invited from all over the world with a key focus on networking, facilitating business and of course having fun.
Emerging trends were predicted, best practices explained and some of the biggest case studies were shared. It was a hub for all the latest news and trends from people with real-life experience and knowledge, as well as a series of interviews with leaders from various industries. It covered everything from Expo 2020 and its numerous business opportunities, to international business trends, digital transformation, cybercrime and setting up business in the UAE, with a particular emphasis on how to go about setting up business in a freezone courtesy of the Sharjah Airport International Freezone.
With a lineup of powerful speakers, insightful speeches, and the launch of Heather Mills’ VBites range to the region, Day 1 was an unprecedented success. SAIF Zone Director (and platinum sponsor) Saud Salim Al Mazrouei was part of a rousing panel discussion on “Thinking Globally, Acting Locally”, and Young Arab Leaders members furthered the international talk with their panel discussion on “Bringing the Middle East to the International Marketplace”. Heather Mills spoke on solving the trillion-dollar healthcare problem while Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for the Middle East, Simon Penney, brought awareness to Britain in the Gulf and the history behind it.
Day 2 of the World CEO Forum had another stellar lineup of speakers, Global Event Management announced a partnership with CincoLab – Canada’s premiere experiential marketing agency – and we also launched the Insomnia Dubai gaming festival to the region – set to kick off in October 2019. Maxim Frolov from Kaspersky Lab flew all the way from Russia to talk to us on cybercrime, Andrew Schumer from BlackWit brought up the controversial topic of 5G and why we should fear it, and CincoLab’s Nicolas Marullo and Anthony Habib blew the audience away with their very engaging presentation on the new way to communicate from a marketing perspective (did we mention we’re incredibly excited to be their Middle East partner? 😉)
We couldn’t have asked for a more successful World CEO Forum, and can’t wait until next year!
