A transformation from Neon Utopia to the Elysian Dunes!

Following on from our Neon Utopia Party, GEM had 12 hours to transform this desert space for a second party with a very different vibe to Neon Utopia.

Elysian Dunes was designed to have a tranquil, sophisticated ambiance on arrival, allowing for the party to build as the night continued. Our Neon colours were replaced with warm lights and the venue was surrounded by 1000s of candle lights.

On arrival guests walked through our stunning entrance way, adorned with hundreds of candle lights and trees dripping in sparkling lights and crystals. From the entrance you have the full view of the party ahead, and the breathtaking décor of Elysian Dunes.

The Stage, still the main focal point in the desert, looked stunning with sunset colours and gorgeous new content showing on the dune shaped screens. The furniture from the night before had been removed and replaced by long banquet style tables, with beautiful centerpieces, again adding to the change of tone.

GEM worked with the Ritz Carlton Chef to design an Asian banquet menu which offered a relaxed, yet upmarket dining experience. Combing a range of flavours and dishes, the menu catered to a wide range of palates, and allowed guests to enjoy a sophisticated yet laid-back meal. Bars, now designed with a new look and feel, ensured that guests had easy access to drinks throughout the night, and served new themed cocktails to suit the mood.

After dinner, guests gathered on the dancefloor and were delighted by a surprise performance by the Dubai Soul Choir – who performed an incredible set of crowd favourites , Ain’t No Mountain, Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher and Ain’t Nobody. These mesmerizing performers kicked off the party, and had everyone dancing into the night.

Changing the venue in such a short amount of time was a challenge. Meticulous planning and logistics were in place to ensure all teams could move into the space and make all the necessary changes so the venue was ready for the second nights celebrations. The efforts really paid off, and GEM, and our client, were thrilled with the transformation and the outcome of our Elysian Dunes Event.
