Background
BOCHELLA was envisioned as an exclusive two-day private festival, blending the spirit of global music festivals with the intimacy and luxury of a bespoke guest experience. Set against the stunning beachfront and gardens of Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi, the event was designed to take guests on an unforgettable journey through music, wellness, creativity, and celebration.
GEM Events was entrusted with delivering a fully immersive, end-to-end experience — from creative concept development to final execution.
Our scope included event theming and décor design, entertainment sourcing and management, full technical production (staging, lighting, sound), complete group logistics across Dubai and the wider Middle East, artists international arrivals, guest experience design, hospitality services, vendor management and scheduling.
Every detail had to be perfectly choreographed to create a seamless, world-class private festival environment.
Solution
Daytime – Friday, 11 April
The beachfront and poolside areas were transformed into a vibrant festival playground with custom boho-chic theming, relaxed lounges, and creative activation zones.
Guests enjoyed a chilled beachfront brunch accompanied by an international DJ, while exploring inflatables, obstacle courses, expressive painting sessions, handcrafted accessory workshops, and spa-inspired ice baths.
As the afternoon progressed, live electronic performances by regional talents set the stage for the evening ahead.
Evening 1 – Friday, 11 April (BOCHELLA Main Festival)
As the sun set, guests moved into a fully produced large-scale festival experience on the grass arena. GEM delivered dynamic staging, bespoke lighting, luxury dining environments, and festival-inspired styling.
The entertainment lineup featured internationally acclaimed headline acts, including Grammy Award-winning Clean Bandit and Brit Award-winning Rudimental, delivering unforgettable performances that brought the audience to life.
The evening continued with late-night entertainment, culinary experiences, and high-energy DJ sets, extending the celebration well into the early morning hours.
The second day offered guests a mix of wellness, adventure, and continued celebration.
Morning activities included yoga, pilates, sound healing, kayaking adventures, and visits to the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
The beachfront came alive once again with a vibrant BBQ lunch, music activations, and interactive workshops.
In the evening, guests enjoyed a refreshed dining experience paired with curated entertainment. Lebanese-Canadian comedian Shawn Chidiac delivered a high-energy comedy performance, followed by a lineup of live DJ sets that kept the atmosphere lively and celebratory into the early hours.
Late-night snacks, chill-out lounges, and a high-energy dancefloor experience closed out the two-day festival in true BOCHELLA style.
